  • History - Introduction

The history of human involvement in the Jamison Valley spans thousands of years. Evidence of the Daruk people's occupation dates back to the last ice age (14,000 years ago). More recently the arrival of European settlers brought great change to both the use and accessibility of the valley.

It is the intent of this site to give an overview of the historical information about the Jamison. References to more detailed writing will be included for those interested in delving into specific aspects.
